January 2012

Well folks, what is there to report upon this month? Christmas & New Year have come and gone, there are no bike runs to report on but we can say that yet again we enjoyed a very good Annual Dinner and Awards at the Skiddaw Hotel on 14th. January. At the end of the month we had a very professional presentation on “My Restoration Challenges” by Terry Richardson. We heard of some fascinating trials and tribulations with both bikes and cars and marvelled at the engineering skill that Terry brought to bear on these challenges. Thanks Terry, for a very entertaining presentation.

On a personal note, I’m busy working on replacing the rusty spokes in my Norton model 7 wheels and at the same time doing a complete wheel rebuild and exhaust refurbishment on my Ducati. I’m sure that many members are also working on their bikes too and if you have any copy or photos that I can use on the website then I’d be pleased to receive them.

Looking forward to Spring!! Dry weather and empty roads, hopefully.

Best Regards
